The Dumbarton Fun Run Mile
Dumbarton Golf Club are organising a Sainsbury?s Sport Relief Mile and they want you to take part! Do the Mile on an exciting route that allows you to run 1, 3 or 6 miles through a fabulous parkland golf course, then kick-back and enjoy all the entertainment on offer. Make sure you get your place in The Dumbarton Mile now!
This year?s event marks five years of successful growth in sports coaching across Argyll and Bute and a continuing trend of quality courses developing quality coaches going into quality clubs.
2012 is a special year for sport. The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games bring the highest standards of sport to our country and Coaching Champions is honoured to have been given the London 2012 Inspire Mark that recognises innovative and exceptional projects.

Great School Run
The UK National Tour runs May-June 2011 with a number of mass participation events planned for various venues around the UK: www.greatschoolrun.com/about/tour.php. These are in addition to the smaller scale events that individual schools may hold. The UK National Tour events get television coverage and often have celebrity athletes in attendance.

With the splendid backdrop of Balloch Castle and the stunning of view of Loch Lomond along with glorious sunshine,the Cross Country Event got under way with the first race being the Primary 6 Girls.
A big vote of thanks must go to all the runners who took part with some sterling performances right across all 10 races. (Boys and Girls races from P6, P7, S1, S2 and S3)
Congratulations to all the individual medal winners and team shield winners.
